Would you like to play a key role in improving support for young children bereaved by parental suicide?
Losing a parent or carer to suicide during childhood can have a devastating and long-term impact on a young person’s mental health. Research has shown that children who are bereaved by parental suicide when aged between two andfive are more likely than any other age group to take their own life in the future. [1]
It’s vital that these vulnerable children are supported properly. I am doing some work with Luna Foundation to develop suicide bereavement training and resources for Early Years Practitioners. As part of the research phase, we are looking for focus group participants.
Take part in a focus group
- Do you work with children under 5?
- Are you interested in helping to develop a nationwide offering to support suicide-bereaved children?
- Are you available on the evenings of the 20 June and 18 July?
- Apply to take part in our online focus group on 20 June from 8-9:30pm.
Receive free training
In return for attending the focus group and filling in two short feedback forms, you will receive:
- A free place on our pilot Early Years Suicide Bereavement Training, online, on 18July
- A £50 voucher of your choice
- The chance to become a Luna Ambassador
Please submit an expression of interest using this form. For more information about Luna Foundation, visit teamluna.org.
